The Diagnostic Parasitology Laboratory is a modern well equipped laboratory located in the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases here at the LSHTM. For over 30 years it has offered a first class and rapid national reference service to NHS and private hospitals, private clinical laboratories, general practitioners and related healthcare bodies, for the laboratory identification of human parasites from all types of clinical specimens. It is also linked with the PHLS Malaria Reference Laboratory (http://www.malaria-reference.co.uk) also located in the department. Wherever possible laboratories are requested to use our referral forms which may be down loaded by using this link: 'Referral form'. We will accept laboratories own forms if necessary.
