4. Diagnosis of malaria

The HPA Malaria Reference Laboratory is also located in the same department and will deal with all malaria requests. A separate handbook is available and those wishing to obtain a copy, or further information, should phone the laboratory on +44 (0)20 7927 2427 or +44 (0)20 7927 2318. Specimens for malaria diagnosis should be sent to the Malaria Reference Laboratory where they will be dealt with appropriately.
